The people who need you never use your keywords

They describe a problem, a frustration or a plan. Keyword alerts miss those posts and bury you in the rest. A watch reads each post the way you would and asks one thing: does this help me reach my goal?

Goal: Find freelancers who lose time to invoicing

“Third client this month paying 60 days late. I lose every Friday to writing reminder emails.”

Brief it like a teammate. It works while you sleep.

Say where your people talk and what you are trying to achieve. It reads every new post there, around the clock, and keeps only the ones that move you closer.

Step 01

Say what you want to achieve

Find customers, keep them, protect them, learn from them. Write it in a sentence and name the subreddits, hashtags or accounts to watch.

Step 02

It reads every post like you would

Each post is judged on what the person means, not the words they use. Most never reach you. The few that serve your goal do.

Step 03

You reply first

Matches land in Slack, Discord, Telegram or email seconds after they are posted, with the reason they matter. Reply while the thread is still young.

It always starts with one public post

Pick a team. Each example reads top to bottom: the watch someone wrote, the post it caught, and what they did with a few seconds' head start.

Questions

What Dovetell reads, how a watch works, and when you can use it.

Join the waitlist
Which platforms can it watch?

We read public posts and comments on X, Reddit, LinkedIn, Threads, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Bluesky, Hacker News and Mastodon. On Instagram, TikTok and YouTube we read captions, titles and comments. Tell us which platforms matter most to you when you join.

How is this different from keyword alerts?

A keyword alert tells you when a word appears. Most people who need you never use that word, and most posts that do use it are not worth your time. A watch reads each post for what the person means, and keeps it only if it serves the goal you wrote. No keyword lists, no boolean queries.

What should a watch say?

Two things: where to look and what you want to find. Each watch stands on its own and knows nothing about you, so name everything it needs: the subreddits, hashtags, handles or channel links, and your product or competitors by name. Write “comments on youtube.com/@yourgame”, not “comments on our channel”.

I am a solo founder. Is this for me?

Yes. Point a watch at the communities your customers read and describe who you want to find: people with the problem your product solves, users unhappy with a competitor you name, or people asking for something you could build. It keeps reading while you build, and you only hear about the posts worth a reply.

Does it read private accounts or messages?

No. Dovetell only reads public posts and comments.

When does it launch?

We are building it now. Everyone on the waitlist gets access before the public launch, in the order they joined.

How much will it cost?

We plan to offer a free plan to get started, with paid plans for more watches and faster alerts. Pricing goes to the waitlist first.

What happens to my email?

We only use it to tell you about Dovetell access and launch. We never share or sell it, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.

Who do you want to find?

Describe your first watch and join the waitlist. Early members get access first, and the most requested watches shape what we build.
